I am Alexsan, a software architect and creator passionate about resilient architectures and clean code. For me, development is not just a job, it is a craft.
My adventure started back in high school, coding my very first amateur video games. That spark never left me. After years of learning and experimenting, I decided to take the leap in 2021 to make it my professional activity and main source of income.
I love system administration, configuring state-of-the-art servers, and optimizing performance to ensure instant response times. Solving complex technical challenges is my daily engine.
Janv. 2021 – Févr. 2021
This is where everything started. Black Horse was an autonomous .exe app distributor, designed and built from scratch — with no prior training, only curiosity, documentation, and relentless perseverance. This founding project taught me the foundations of the web: structuring pages with HTML, styling them with CSS, and manipulating client-side data with JavaScript. Back then, lacking a proper back-end, I stored data in JSON files processed by JS — a workaround that forced me to understand data logic long before discovering real databases. Though abandoned, Black Horse remains the cornerstone of my journey: it lit the spark.
Mars 2021 – Avr. 2021
After Black Horse, I had understood one thing: client-side JSON was not enough. I was missing server-side dynamism. Me Biblio — a book distribution platform for independent authors and illustrators — was the perfect lab to fix that. This is where I first dived into PHP and Object-Oriented Programming. Understanding classes, encapsulation, and database interaction opened my eyes to what a web application truly is. This project laid the foundation of an architectural rigor I still carry today.
Mars 2022 – Mai 2022
After a break of nearly a year, something clicked: I realized that my past failures were not a lack of talent, but a lack of method. I then started an intensive, structured training on OpenClassrooms, covering fifteen foundational courses: Understanding the Web, Dynamic JavaScript, PHP & MySQL, CSS Animations, Sass, Figma, SEO, and more. This is where I learned how to learn efficiently — reading documentation, testing, iterating. OpenClassrooms triggered a two-year training cycle that would change everything.
Juin 2022 – Sept. 2022
Riding the momentum from OpenClassrooms, I immediately moved on to FreeCodeCamp to earn all available certifications in my target areas: Responsive Web Design, JavaScript, Front-End Development Libraries, and English for Developers (A2). This curriculum was decisive on two levels: it crystallized my technical English — today indispensable in the dev world — and most importantly, it introduced me to React. This framework radically changed my vision of front-end development and opened the doors of the modern JavaScript ecosystem (npm, Redux, Node).
Oct. 2022 – Févr. 2023
Knowing how to code is not enough — a great developer understands the web in its entirety. This conviction led me to Google web.dev certifications, focused on often-overlooked but essential topics: Advanced Responsive Design, Image Optimization, Web Accessibility (WCAG), Performance (Core Web Vitals), UX Forms, Privacy, and Progressive Web Apps. These learnings transformed how I produce code: I no longer code for it to work — I code for it to be fast, accessible, inclusive, and compliant with international standards.
Mars 2023 – Sept. 2023
Through W3Schools certifications, my knowledge finally solidified into a coherent, actionable expertise. More than a simple online curriculum, W3Schools was where I built the most concrete projects, experimented the most, and definitively stopped being a learner to become a practitioner. This is where I realized my skills had real market value. The shift from 'self-taught dev' to 'freelancer' began mentally and strategically during this period.
Oct. 2021 – Juil. 2024
Accumulating online certifications is one thing. Having institutional proof of your level is another.
ASCI (Congolese Agency for Information Systems, formerly OCI) is a government organization under the direct authority of the Ministry of Credit and Economy. This is not just a coding school — it is the reference authority for IT in Congo-Brazzaville.
The program — 6 months of intensive training + 2-month internship — covers advanced concepts rarely tackled self-taught:
Direct result: my first professional contracts stemmed directly from this certification the following year.
Août 2024
Since 2024, I have been practicing professionally, leading end-to-end projects for major organizations.
Clients in Congo-Brazzaville:
International clients: France · United States · Algeria — and the list grows every year.
75% of what I master has been forged through practice: from AI to DevOps, through back-end, front-end, and network infrastructure.
I believe the first step is the hardest — and I am here to encourage everyone to take it.
